Ok so most of the reason I got into massage was because I dislocate my shoulder a lot and I wanted to find a better way to make it feel better again sooner. Thanks to massage school I now have a way better understanding of my shoulder. Normally I can dislocate it, and with massage I have about a week recovery time. Well yesterday I dislocated it in a dirt bike accident and I wasn't able to put it back in on my own like normal. This is by far the most painful dislocation I've ever had. When do yyou think it would be ok to start massaging the muscles and which way do you think I should go about it. The head of the humerus was caught under the glenoid fossa so it was way far out and I'm sure it did plenty of damage. Not looking for a lecture on what I should and shouldn't be doing with my life cause I'll always ride motocross. Just any ideas on recovery would be gratefull. I'm thinking some contrast therapy and maybe some hot stone treatment. What are your thoughts. How would you help a client with this problem. I went to a doctor already and will be seeing another one later on. This is painfull though and I'm thinking there are some massage things I can do to help. Thank you :)
I am in the process of getting surgery but my insurance sucks and I have to save up some more money.
