I started with Quantum Touch and then took Reiki. I guess after years of trying to ignore the energy I was feeling when doing bodywork I eventually looked into Quantum.
I think it really benefits you as well as the client. I try to incorporate it in with other modalities.
I think it is powerful..and nothing feels better than the resonnance of connection.
love & peace...perhaps describes it best.
Hi Lina...I'm teaching a Quantum Touch Video workshop this weekend as a matter of fact. I feel that the breathing increases the level of energy and makes the sessions better.

Hi,

I started back in 1998 getting my first Reiki attunement, and became a reiki master in 2001, I became interested in Reiki when a friend of mine told me about it. I then became interested in massage therapy and went to school for that. I use Reiki and massage together all the time it goes hand in hand. I've been thinking of taking a Polarity course for my ceu's . Do you have any thoughts on polarity courses?
I would love to take this course. Polarity again is working with electricmagnetic energy fields much like Reiki and Quantum etc.plus working with structure. Since the founder was an osteopath and combines with eastern and western disciiplines it must be quite an interesting course.

I haven't any specific polarity classes, although I do some polarity during my energy work. My friends that are massage therapists use polarity and have had great results.

Hi, the first time I experiance energy work was during a craniosacral section. That is usually what happened to me, I usually start like that and end up with different experiances every time. The first time I was scared of what had just happened but my client was so happy, come in with a cane and left with out. I think is a powerfull work, I can not find here in Dallas proper traing, so I do not know much about it. That is why I would love to join the groop, so I can learn why strange beautifull things happens to me and my clients during the section.

I took the first class in the polarity certification and have just decided to go back and finish the series. I have found that deep tissue is really taking it's toll on my body and I'm interested in incorporating more energy work into my sessions. The only thing that I'm nervous about is how to charge......
At first if you don't know what to expect from energy work, it may appear to be scary. But learn to expect the unexpected. I've had so many experiences with clients..some dramatic, some subtle that you may not relate to the session. It's so heart warming to have such dramatic results as you have described with your client. During energy work, there are so many levels of healing that occur...not just on a physical level, but emotionally, mentally, and spiritually as well. We are the facilitators to help that person self-heal. There are many things going on with that person on a subatomic level that we cannot comprehend. It's like peeling an onion..many layers are released.

That's the beauty about energy work..it compliments so many other modalities and especially with massage as it is not so hard physically on your body. I teach a subtle body energy class at a massage college as part of their curriculum and when combining energy work with massge, you can get better results...it allows the client to release on some many levels. Usually energy workers charge the same as massage therapists per session or per hour. I offer a prepaid series of 3 sessions that is discounted from an individual session. This way, they are more committed to coming for more sessins.

Hi my name is corinne
I first started energy work at a school in Westboro MA along with massage. The learning is ongoing.
I love doing massage and using energy all the way though.
Hi, thanks for this group. I'm a student with one term left in massage school and took a level-one reiki course last spring. I also do shiatsu and fell in love with it and Chinese medicine. I come from a background as a writer, librarian and professional skeptic, so I'm still figuring out how to get out of my own way and let the energy work, work. Sometimes I still get all up in my head and almost feel like I have apologize for the woo-woo-ness of it all. I also know how powerful it feels to both give and receive, so that's what I try and keep foremost.

Do you ever feel defensive about doing this work?

NIce to meet y'all.
I was at a Reflexology CEU class when my partner at the time, a Reki Master and I did not know it, worked her energy on me. I just said right out loud, that she had made her way up my back, and no one had ever been able to get there from the feet. My hips were blocking everything and she was able to make a major break threw on me. Today we are good friends. Because of this session I want to learn Reki. Also, I use the energy of the Young Living Essential Oils. They are very powerful!
