Hi Melissa
I've seen it done several ways. Some schools pay 50% of instructor pay aka an admin. salary. Usually around
$ 12/hr - $ 15/hr. However, if you really want this to be a productive and effective clinic, pay someone what they are truly worth to address this critical component.
I used to own a school and have been a director for several across the country! Clinic should not be something just to bring in money from the public.
When students don't have a client, I feel they should also be doing case studies, running reception, participating in marketing projects. etc.
I would not suggest a recent graduate/student overseeing the clinic as this is an important component for students to refine their skills. Also many states require a licensed massage therapist to oversee clinic. Many places unfortunately do not pay much attention to students while they are in clinic and therefore many things go unseen, uncorrected etc.
