I'm interested in taking classes in orthopedic and/or sports massage. I do a lot of deep tissue work and would like to work more efficiently. I would also like to expand into working with athletes and rehab work. Any thoughts on which classes would be best?

Lisa,
I would recommend Orthopedic Massage with either James Waslaski and/or Whitney Lowe. They are both excellent instructors and have a huge amount of info to share. Lowe's classes focus on assessment and Waslaski's are more on body balance. If you take both you will have an awesome tool kit to work with.
Cheers,

Thanks for the advice Jody. I'll check into both.

Hi Lisa,

Jody is right on the button. And for a twist Terry Norman teaches a Chinese Sports Massage.
Thanks Mike,
I'll add Terry to my research list.

I took a 50 hr lower body sports course in Iowa at Body Wisdom School of Massage the instructor was Brian Glochsbach spelled wrong I do not have it right in front of me but if you have the time and money it was very good and when I get the money ahead I will eventually go back for the upper body part and pelvic stabilization classes.
