I currently pay for a 24 hour receptionist service called My Recpetionist. They answer calls 24/7 and also have a scheduling site, so clients can get online and make thier own appts. No phone tag with clients and they can happily do scheduling themselves online. It has worked very well for me for many years now and the cost is reasonable.
On a related subject, I would like to go paperless in the next year. Does anyone have an electronic medical records system that they like?
The best piece of technology I've started using is the Square credit card reader for my iPad. No monthly fees and I can except credit cards from my clients. Simple and it works.

Great tips! Thanks! I have never heard of "pocket body" before, and it sounds really handy.
Are there any problems using ABMP as a website with another system as an online scheduler? Pardon my IT lack of knowledge....so you just have a link on your ABMP website and clients go through that to schedule with with fullslate?
1) Website
2) Online scheduler (Fullslate)
3) Square reader for credit cards
From a business standpoint I cannot function without these three services. The website is a no-brainer. If you want people to find you, you must have a website. Because I work a second job and cannot always answer my phone, having an online scheduler pays for itself over and over again. Being able to accept credit/debit cards is a huge convenience for my clients and well worth the minimal fees.
Your ABMP website is looking great!

Without technology I don't think I would be able to own my own business. I am a very shy person so having the ability to have my clients find me online and schedule is a god-send. I use fullslate for scheduling and ambp for my website. I also use intuit gopaymemt so I am able to accept credit card payments. Aside from the business aspect I find my "pocket body" app on my iPad extremely helpful in showing clients which muscle and movement is limited.

We've made the ABMP website builder really easy to use, so you can add an online scheduling widget right on your site!

Thanks for the responses, everyone! I've picked out the answers that we'll be using for the magazine, but feel free to continue the discussion and give each other some more ideas!
I would love to hear what people are using for electronic record keeping.... any soft ware that is great for therapists?
