Bio Mat

I am seeking information/feedback on the amethyst infared bio mats. Would like to hear from therapists who have personally used one and what the out come was. I also hear they are only good for 4 years, kind of expensive for only 4 yrs. worth of use.........

I am sure it works as advertised, once you translate the way they describe their product. Their website has pages and pages about the "quantum healing abilities of far infrared rays." Far infrared radiation is simply a sciency-sounding way to describe heat.

So yes, they're making completely accurate statements about what the product does. "Converts normal energy into far infrared waves in an efficient manner at room temperature" (from their website) -- in normal language, this means it heats up when you plug it in.

I admit it raises my far infrared radiation spectrum a little when this sort of marketing approach is taken, but I think four years sounds like a reasonable amount of time for an electric heating pad to last.
