I'm getting a little frustrated trying to advertise for job openings at our sports chiropractic clinic. So far I've posted to local massage schools, Craigslist and a new site called Find Touch, but the responses are few and far in between, and the majority of those who applied did not fulfill the basic reqs.
We're are very specific in our ad as we need someone with experience in sports massage, trigger point and deep tissue because we have a lot of athletes and weekend warriors at our clinic. And we only hire as independent contractor. I would greatly appreciate if anyone has experience or a good advice where to advertise or how best to go about it?
Were located in Silicon Valley, CA (in case advise is area specific!)
Thanks :o)

"You only hire independent contractors!" That may be one of the hurdles you're facing! Is it room rental? If so you may want to consider commission or hiring someone hourly. If there are that many clients coming through the door, that shouldn't be an issue.
Have you tried the local newspapers or even one of the local t.v. stations?
Go to some of the other massage places in your area, get a massage, ask if they have any friends that are therapists that may be looking for work. Try posting at some of the salons in the area that don't have massage therapists, everybody gets their hair done
I'll add that in CA, no small number of therapists are also into Yoga, Reiki, and various other alternative health modalities. Putting up an ad in the nearby yoga studios or alternative healing press is probably a good idea. If you participate in local running events, or post on a local runner's website, you could get some results there too. I lived in Sacramento for 7 years, and for a very long time, CA was a patchwork of county & local requirements. State certification is helping the portability issues, but I had real issues finding quality therapists. I know they are out there, but finding them is a challenge. Good luck.
