massage and bodywork professionals

a community of practitioners

Hello! I recently started my massage business and up until now have taken care of income/expenses via Excel. I am wondering what other programs people use to keep track of their finances. I business is only partime with ~10-15 clients/per month. Thank you!

I used quicken for 9 years and switched to quickbooks last year after my accountant advised me to do so. I had a 3000 sq ft facility and a full boutique with retail. I hated quickbooks. Its more detailed for sure, especially if you have a lot of inventory to track and a huge staff to manage. I liked the payroll services available with quickbooks. If your small or just a single person I'd say go with quicken. It's simple and easy to use and gives you all the reports you'll need come end of year.
Hi Leah,
I just started Quick Books ,and I love it, its easy to use. Peace Travis
Quickbooks Pro for me. I like the detail. But as Katherine said, if you're the lone person, Quicken will probably serve you fine.
Hi Leah,

I've been using quickbooks for 12 years - piece of cake. My CPA loves it!
Quick Books for me for years. Easy to do!
I've use Quickbooks since 1992 (by recommendation of my CPA).

Leah, I cannot image doing business without it.

Other accounting programs may fit the bill (not pun intended), but if you begin with something like Quickbooks and your business grows in years to come, you'll be ready.
thank you everybody for your thoughts!!!!
