WHAT IS YOUR THOUGHTS ON COLOR IN YOUR MASSAGE TREATMENT ROOM?

MY TREATMENT ROOM IS CURRENTLY A NICE SHADE OF GREEN,BUT I NEED TO PAINT IT NOW,i AM CONSIDERING A NEW COLOR. I JUST PUT IN A NEW PREGO FLOOR (LAMIATE) WHICH REALLY CLEANED IT UP NICELY. I AM THINKING A Shade OF GOLD TO GIVE IT A WARM FEELING. (greens are for healing) ANY EXPERT IDEAS ON THIS?

This may sound odd, but what type of work will you be doing? Which modality is your "specialty" or which modality are you seen most frequently for by your clients?
HI Marissa
I have several tools in my toolbox. cranio, lymph drainage, swedish, reflexology and a little ashiatus & hot stones. i generally will do a mix on my clients, depending on what is going on with them.
I chose green because of the heart chakra (association with compassion, empathy, and love and with sense of touch) and as a healing color. I used low and no voc (volatile organic compound) paints from Sherwin Williams. I used two shades of green in the treatment room: walls a color called romaine and trim and door a color called organic. Comments from my clients that had been to my previous location were positive and new clients liked the feel of the space as well.

I left the colors from the previous tenant in the waiting room: walls yellow, trim rust, door to outside burnt orange and painted door to treatment room the same as the walls in the treatment room (romaine).
Blues-Calm and peaceful
Greens-growth
Yellow-anger
Black and Purples-royalty
Red and Whites-stand out colors
Browns-depression
To your client, what you offer is going to sound slightly "exotic" and unfamiliar. Gold would be a great warming base. Add in some earthy greens, rusts, burnt oranges and you will have that warm, exotic, ethnic feel.
I have always liked any earth tones. Greens, browns, tans, even some lighter blues for trim.
heading to the paint this afternoon. I am leading towards a shade of deep Gold. I have had my treatment room green for 8 years now. Love green, but going to try a gold for a soft warm embracing feelings. I only use a 15 watt bulb for light so it will be very warm,I imagine. my floor in light oak with light oak trim ,my cabinets are also light oak ,so i think it will be more of a monatone blend and green accents(throw rugs) i have already.
I'm done. I painted my treatment room a color named Amber Wheat. a beautful shade of gold. I am enjoying the feel of it as I am working,it gives a nice warmth and feel good glow off. My clients seem to like it so far. They only really feel it upon walking in and their exit . I use an eye pillow on most of themso, then they walk into greenroom. I currently use a 15 watt bulb with 1-3 small candles glowing. I want to up to about 20-25 watt, just a bit brighter. Thanks for your ideas,it was fun reading them all.
I didn't find a link for it,but i chose Gold shade, and its done. feels nice.
