My NRG Grasshopper broke at some point while it was in storage. One of the pins came out of the leg pad hing and totally disappeared{?} So dh said to just order a new one if I can't get a replacement pin.

The NRG is a solid chair but I'm looking hard at Stronglite and Earthlite chairs because they are supposed to be the most easily adjustable {per my instructors when I was in school}. In fact my only real complaint about the NRG is it is hard for me to adjust easilly, especially raising and lowering the face cradle height.

Anyways, any advice on Ergo Pro vs Vortex, or on how to make adjusting my NRG easier if I'm able to secure a replacement pin, would be very, very welcome. I'm trying to stay under $350 if anyone is wondering how much give my budget has.

Hi Judith,

Angie Patick made up this terrific chart for tables and chairs!

Thanks Mike. I have looked over the chart and have Angie on my facebook actually. But the chart doesn't really speak to ease of use {it's only flaw if it can be considered one} I wanted the Vortex originally but without getting a look at the front/adjustments I'm kind of nervous, kwim?
Thanks Terry. Do you mind sharing how the chest pad and face rest adjustments work and how well? My biggest problem with the NRG is the velcro lining on the headrest bar makes it rough to adjust the height, and when I loosen the screw holding the chest pad in place, if I bump the headrest bar it slips and I have to start all over again. Doesn't look or feel very professional.

Does anyone know where to find pictures of the adjustment controls for either/both chairs? I've tried the Massage Warehouse site, New Life products site, Stronglite site and Google and come up empty on all accounts. I can find pictures of the chairs in their folded positions but none that really show how the adjustments work.
Hi Judith,

I have had an Earthlite Avila II for 5 years now. I absolutely love the chair. It is extremely easy to adjust even with a client on it. It is a little more expensive than the budget you are wanting to stay in, but it is well worth the investment. I absolutely love mine.
