Let's help those seeking a great future find the right school for them!
I attended Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy, 3600 Laketon Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15235-2929

I am grateful to all my instructors for the knowledge they shared. While my massage has changed considerably since graduating, there are many basics that I still hang on to, like always keeping contact with the client.

I am particularly thankful that the school included Alexander technique instruction - "Gary, look up, there's something on the wall you need to see" - stays with me in almost every massage! It was included as separate classes, and the instructor was also present during our practice massage sessions. It heightens awareness of body positioning and mechanics.
I graduated from BSMT in 2006. When were you there? I LOVED it! Would (and do!) recommend it to anyone in the area interested in MT school.

A very well respected massage school in New England region, whose teachers are very capable, proud and dedicated to share the knowledge that the learned from the school as alumni and from the professional world. I felt prepared and anxious to work when I reached graduation and I've met so many other talented graduates of the school since. This school is celebrating 60 years in business and is not part of a chain of schools but privately owned with styles and techniques that have been handed down throughout the years. Very affordable and well worth the cost. I am continually grateful still I found the right place to attend. If you are considering learning massage therapy I suggest you attend one of their 'Open House' invitations that they hold a couple times a year.

It is the desire of the staff to graduate competent, creative therapists who have developed their own abilities to visualize and understand anatomy, coupled with a sensitivity to palpate the whole person, all while listening deeply.

Our 600-hour program offers open enrollment, meaning you may start at any time! Classes meet 3-4 evenings per week and 2-3 weekends per month. Average length of completion ranges from 9-18 mos. Small classes of 10 or less allow for lots of individual attention. We specialize in helping transfers complete a basic education, and in clinical and sports therapies.
We are an approved Continuing Ed Provider and offer retreats and workshops. Based in the historic district of downtown Columbia, we have extension sites specifically for woodland retreat or for accessible settings.
