I am looking at 2 schools that offer Massage Therapy classes. Both schools state that I will be able to sit for the Nat'l Certification. Can anyone tell me the benefit of getting my Associate in Specialized Business for Massage Therapy vs Massage Therapist?

It sounds to me the first is an Associate degree in business with a focus on how to run a massage business where the latter is just being taught massage therapy.
Amy,
I would ask many questions about this associates program. I have seen some vo-tech schools offer these degrees but most massage therapists, tell me it has not offered them anything of benefit and most of the credits don't transfer to a 4 year program , if they want.
I would find a good and solid massage therapy program. No less than 500 hrs, preferably more with highly skilled and experienced instructors.

While it is MOST important to know how to run your business - make sure this school is VERY clear on what this means pertaining to massage specifically. Good Luck
