Adult education resources

Hi All,

I am in a "growth spurt" at the moment and have a lot of energy around enhancing my teaching skills. I am looking for good books on adult education that aren't too terribly dense or textbooky if that makes sense. I have been picking away at instructor resources on the AMBP website which i love as well as the "Teaching Massage" textbook. If you have other books or resources that are good to look at, I am interested in expanding my library. They don't have to necessarily be about teaching massage...just teaching adults.

Hi Michael, I'm reading Brain Rules by John Medina. It's not about teaching but about how the brain works and how we learn. I'm finding it interesting, useful and very accessible.

One of my all time favorites- McKeachie's Teaching Tips. And he puts out a new edition every year, so it is always very current.

A wonderful book I have been getting a great deal from recently is: Ten Steps to Complex Learning by Jeroen J.G. van Merrienboer and Paul Kirschner. The book is principally about instructional design, a topic that I think gets very little attention for many massage educators and is something that is crucially important.
