Learning muscles through modeling in clay.

Hi everyone, I'm considering using the clay muscle modeling method in a class I'm teaching.  One problem is the manikens are so expensive.  I'm wondering if anyone has used this system and if it was worthwhile.  Also, are there any less expensive ways of doing this.
Thanks!

We used to use Mr. Thrifty and modeling clay. Check out Massage Warehouse and see what they have.

    Hi Alexei,

Yes, the Anatomy in Clay (R) Manikens (R) are quite expensive. I have used the skeletons quite a bit, but only for continuing education classes. It is an excellent way to learn the muscles, but it is also MUCH more time intensive. All kinesthetic learning methods are more time intensive, so you have to have a fair amount of time in your curriculum to allow for it.

Thanks Jan and Joseph for the info. Jan, that's a great suggestion. Joseph, I've got the time in the curriculum, so it's good to know it's a worthwhile investment of that time.
