Studying in Thailand

Hello everyone. I would like to have some recommendations on a school to study with in Thailand. So far my research has led me to the understanding that it is better to find a US school or teacher and go over with them instead of just traveling to a school in Thailand. If anyone has done this and could share their experience I would appreciate it.
