Hello fellow Therapists, I pray that all is well with everyone.

I recently started working independently out of a local spa and salon.  I have advertised and gained some clientele.  But, I need a constant paycheck....

I am looking for a full-time or part time MT position in the Irving, Euless, Bedford, Southlake, Coppell, or Grapevine area.  Please let me know if anyone knows of

any open positions.  Thanks in advance for your help.

If you are looking for a source of lively, high integrity essential oils, please consider my company, Aromaceuticals. I specialize in working with complementary and alternative practitioners, including hospital integrative medicine units, so the quality is exceptionally high and backed by certificates of analysis. I'm a full time nationally registered clinical aromatherapist as well as a bodyworker, and founded Aromaceuticals when I had difficulty sourcing suitable quality oils for my own practice. Aromaceuticals essential oils are from eco-wise growers (organic and/or sustainable cultivation), many of whom are small farms or co-ops with long-standing ties to the European medical community. This is NOT a multi-level marketing business. I offer CEU classes in clinical aromatherapy and have quite a bit of free information available on the website (including AromaBlog). If this piques your interest, you may sign up for a free monthly newsletter filled with educational articles and regular class announcements. Or you can friend Aromaceuticals on Facebook. Namaste!

    Sandy--

YEP! A lesson learned on my own part, but it's sad that it should even be a lesson TO learn!
  • Lauriann Greene, CEAS

Save Your Hands! offers an affordable way to learn how to prevent injury and prolong your career.  We offer methods that have been PROVEN to be effective with hard data from decades of research.  Remember that no one strategy (stretching, body mechanics) has been proven to be effective in helping you remain pain-free. Save Your Hands offers a multi-faceted approach including hundreds of tips you'll use everyday in your practice.  Plus we offer you a way to make money by teaching self-care and injury prevention as a Certified Injury Prevention Instructor (CIPI).  Visit www.saveyourhands.com for more information. There's a reason Save Your Hands has been the #1 source for reliable injury prevention information for over 15 years - we were the first to offer this information to the profession, the only ones to produce scientific research and statistics on this subject, and we're still the most trusted name in self-care for massage therapists.
  • Sandy Gerhardt

    Lauriann,

I took the "Save Your Hands" CEU class. I purchased it at the national convention in  Orlando, FL in 2009. I learned many good tips. Is there a part 2 yet? I wouldn't mind taking another class.

  • Lauriann Greene, CEAS

Hi Sandy - I'm glad you found our 10 CEU Injury Prevention and Ergonomics for Manual Therapists course to be helpful!  We do actually have a "part 2", which is called Advanced Concepts in Ergonomics for Manual Therapists. It's an interactive course, including videos and fun activities, taught by my co-author Rick Goggins, CPE, LMP.  This is the second course in our Certified Injury Prevention Instructor (CIPI) program.  The first course is the one you took, so you're already 1/4 of the way to becoming a CIPI and being able to earn additional income by teaching our Save Your Hands! Workshops to other massage therapists and bodyworkers! For more information, please see http://www.saveyourhands.com/cipi.

I just wanted to add that there is another wonderful book out there called "Aromatherapy for Massage Practitioners" by Ingrid Martin.  She looks at different e/o s, how to use them, how to combine them, how to buy them, and then goes through each body system to look at how they can be useful.  I've totally enjoyed it!
  • David
