Paul, I don't graduate till the end of April. But right now? It's only voluntary that you go through it. From what I'm understanding they are way behind in processing the certifications.

...The CAMTC process isn't hard. It worked out great. All you need is a little patience. I love it that the applicant can check their own status ('in process') themselves... Obtaining fingerprints was easy, and the application form along with the transcripts was very well explained on the website: camtc.org. I sent in the ppwk along with payment and then waited. I applied in Aug/Sept and received confirmation from you in Feb. What a lovely day that was! Btw, will I be receiving a physical license in the mail sometime? Please advise... Thanks!

I've been doing this for 20 years, and I've been hearing about the California State licence thing for about 12 years. As far as I know it's not a requirement yet. Until it Is, I probably won't go there. Just like the National Certification thing. If it's required, I'll do it, but right now, it's just one more thing to spend money on.

The California state licensing process is SO much easier than the LA city one. It took me years to get the LA city one, all BS but the state one took me a couple weeks. You just get fingerprints, get your CEU's fill out an applic. and pay the bill (much less). Good luck!

I've only just been looking in to the process recently, but it doesen't seem as if it will be too terribly difficult as long as you can provide the proof they require on training, etc.
