Hi Kris- How is Vegas treating you? Ohio is a little backwards right now, but all is well because I'm a massage therapist!! This is a great site and I really appreciate the welcome!! I have only been licensed and practicing since June of 2009, but I can already tell that I have made the right decision in my career choice. I am amazed at all the good a body work professional can do.
Hi Kris: Not intruding at all, I just really noticed this site to join in my massage and bodywork magazine and I thought, why not? So this is new for me. I have been a massage therapist for 6 years and I work at a Spa in Door County, Wisconsin. So it's great to meet you and if you ever have any new suggestions or ideas that you know of, please don't be afraid to share them with me, as that goes vice versa. Thanks. Kim
Looking forward to sharing and learning from everyone. What type of practice do you have in Las Vegas? I have the privlige to work in a hospital. Have a great day.
Hey Kris sorry so late to respond I clicked on a virus and killed my computer so hubby getting me a new one. Thank godness its been 2mo. Im having a hard time trying to find a job here in Dallas,Tx. I know there out there but not having any luck and the internet dosent seem to be working either. Any ideas. Help!
Hey Kris. your not intruding. At times it may take me a couple days to get back with you. Hows your business doing in Vegas? I started as a massage therapist in 93, I started right away with a chiropractor who I met at a restaurant I was working at the time. A couple months later started working with Physical Therapist part time, learned a lot by working on athlete's. I'm also a personal trainer, My forte is boxing but also add strength and conditioning to the mix. I try to keep myself busy, business is good, do need to pick up a little more, its not cheap living in LA.
It's good to meet you, hoping life is treating you well.
Hey Kris it's nice to meet you! I'm pretty much on the same page, just trying to meet therapists and I'm looking for a little guidance on how, or the best way to go about starting up my own business. So if you have any advice I'd love to hear it. I'd also like to know what techniques you practice, if you don't mind sharing. :)
I'm ready to have something that's mine, my own practice with my clients. Right now I'm looking into getting certified in Thai Bodywork and then build from there. For the past four years I've been working for a chiropractor,..don't get me wrong I love most alternative health care professional, however, the group I'm with only deals with car accidents, insurance and patients that come in lying about their pain because their attorney told them to so that they'll get a bigger settlement.
For awhile I thought I didn't want to stay within the profession due to the bad taste of my situation, now I realize it's just this company, and that I do have a true passion for massage and only want to expand my knowledge and create my own business. I just want to get back to treating clients that want to be their, that actually come in for me. That's the one thing that would make me happier than anything.
Not intruding at all! Good 2 meet u Kris, I love the spelling of your name. As a student, I'll need all the guidance I can get. Look 4ward to chatting with u.
Hey Kris.. nice to meet you... You are not intruding at all.. As a new therapist (just passed my NYS boards) I am always looking to speak to those that have been in the field for awhile... I enjoy learning new things about this field.
Whats up? Im glad to meet you an i will let you know right off hand that i am still a student and i am looking for ppl to tlk to about MT. If you have any certain intrests in massage please let me know what they are.
Hi Kris! Tourism in Antalya, Turkey valve from hi ... A lot of massage therapists have all been very good. I am a massage therapist for 13 years. Massage therapists to meet all the world to know I'm here for. Good work and good luck.
Always great to meet new therapists in different places! Have been working for 15 years and love sharing what works and doesn't in this ever changing but always amazing field.
Hi Kris, Thanks for your request. I am also hoping to network with other therapists. Still learning how to navigate the website. I have been working through hospital-based massage programs for the past 7 years (part time). I am curently, just beginning to investigate marketing and promo. strategies that will enable me to work independantly. on a part-time basis. Although the last program I worked through, classified me as a subcontractor, I was by(IRS) definition an employee. Got real tired of the corporate nonsense, and after 5 years of service left the program.
Hi Kris, thanks for the welcome. It's great to connect with therapists in other parts of the country. I look forward to learning from and sharing with the group.
Hello kris, and thanks for your welcome! I've actually just been accepted into what appears to be a wonderful school here in NJ! All that's left is the financials, and we're working on that. I'm very excited to begin this journey.
No, you're not intruding at all. The weather here in Vermont right now is a sunny and HOT (although probably not for you!) 91 degrees. Not exactly what we're used to on May 25. But, I'm not complaining. I'm just thanking god for air conditioning. :)
Hope you're having a great day in sunny Las Vegas.
Hi Kris, thanks for the invite. I was reading a few of your posts on one of the groups when I got your friend request. Sounds like you have some great ideas. Looking forward to hearing more.
not the least bit. i am actually just beginning my massage career as a may 2010 graduate. i am eager to begin to network and explore the industry.
-thanks for reaching out
Kris-no intrusion. This will have to be brief as I have a bunch of students with me right now. I mostly do energy work; Reiki, and bowls and some healing touch. How about you?
so nice of you to look up therapists and give us a welcome. I am excited to read your posts and get a feel for how things are going. I take the MBLEx next week and graduate in a couple weeks. I am so excited and love this journey I am on!
Your comment page looks interesting, worth exploring. Probably become part of your marketing blog, too. I have been doing Biz whatever and also Help Your Massage Practice. The next two months I'll have no time, after that I'll check out what you're up to.
Thanks for the welcome.
