I was just curious because I was looking at Vegas to possibly start an operating territory. I own a company where I advertise business for massage therapists. I send out independent contractors to companies, and individual clientele. I do have policies and procedures in place for safety. And yes, I do look for LMT's who provide mobile massage and work for themselves. I am just looking into Vegas to see if it would be a good place to start this business.

    Thanks!

    Cami

Body Tech Massage Spa Services. I have a team of professionals who market for LMT's. I know LMT's have a tough time marketing and need this assistance.

Do you think Vegas would be a good place to set up to advertise Ethical Massage Spa Services? We mainly advertise to travelers.

    Thanks!

Hi Kris> hope you had a great vacation. Can't wait to take exam. Hopefully this will lead to licensing in PA in October. Massage here is slow hasn't caught on in all areas. I am working with a Chiropractor Part time doing about 4 masage per week..I have a friend or two who had to get out completely because thay needed a job with benefits, I work for a school district Full time so I have them. Eventually I would like to have my own practice locally or use massage as an opportunity to move.. maybe west.definitely to a warmer climate. Have a good day!

Kris, it is good to know someone in Vegas. I work with people that come from all over the U.S. to spend their winters here, our snowbirds. So when they head back or travel elsewhere I am asked if know anyone. Now I have one in Vegas. Please keep me in mind for any of your clients/travelers that head to the Phoenix area. Ed

Hi Kris, thank you for inviting me. I'm a RMT in rural Colorado working out of a wellness center owned by a dentist. She likes her patients to receive massage before treatment. They do not all accept the opportunity. Often the ones that do are TMJ patients. I also have my own clientele that come for massage every other week or once per month. Have a great evening. Lynn

    Kris,
    Thanks for the kind hello.
I went to High School in Las Vegas and my Mother taught an UNLV- Dental Chair. I am currently and instructor at Brown Mackie College in South Bend Indiana - Home of Notre Dame. I teach the Clinical part of our program and various classes. I also practice at Memorial Hospital here in South Bend working on the Oncology patients and on Special Care OB. LOVE my work and my students. Amazing that 20 years ago I was a Marketing Director for a Fortune 500 company working 60+ hours a week and quit on a dime for the opportunity to do massage. This is truly where I need, want and supposed to be. (and my Program Director here at the school is awesome too!!!) Look forward to chatting with others in the field. Best wishes.

Glad to meet you Kris, I've been an RN in Critical care for 12 yrs, have always used massage for my pain control and relaxtion. I think this will be good for my pt's, and coworkers but mainly my mother who has MS, Fibromyalgia, RA and DJD and other things that I know massage will benefit, i grad in December. If you have any tips for working with people who have fibromyalgia I would be very greatful thanks again Kris, love LV, i was last there for a critcal care conf at UNLV, but when my dad worked for IHS after retiring from Navy, and we lived in Parker AZ I made many a trips to LV, Thanks again Kris

Thank you Kris for adding me.
I have been a massage therapist since the 90's. Stopped when I got my masters in teaching special education, kept up with it so I wouldn't loose touch.I was born with Epilepsy and as a kid you usualy grow out of it,I didn't and as the years went on it wasn't as bad until I hit my 30's and it really went down hil and I had to resign from teaching after 16 yrs,Dr's orders not the school.I had to have what is called a VNS put in.Easy way to find out what a VNS is go to webmd.com search VNS.Seizures are not 100% controled but I am not having as many.I found out the my certifacation was still good and went into it full time and I find that it has relaxed me I love owning my own business and the clients I had before in the 90's are now coming back to me after all these years and bring friends .Now Massage Therapy is a passion for me,and I love the way I make people feel when they exit my studio.Thank you for listening.

I'm originally from Los Angeles (so much time and debauchery in Vegas) but now in Knoxville TN. Jacci

Thanks for the ad. I'm new at this site. I'm a student at AZ School of Massage Therapy, graduating in December. I absolutely love it. I can't believe I'm going to get paid (*well*) to do this! I have wanted to do massage for about 11 years now but always doubted myself. I finally took the plunge and couldn't be happier!
  • Elise Taplay Ryan

Glad to meet you too. I'm in Ontario Canada about 1/2 way between Toronto and Niagara Falls. I have owned my business for 5 1/2 years and been a Registered Massage Therapist for 4 years.
I have been busy this week with putting in 2 offers on my 4 ever home, which was not accepted. I have to play the waiting game now for now as they are not ready emotionally to sell. I'll try again in 2-3 months if it is still on the market.
In the mean time, I am about to put hardwood floors down in my 800 square feet of clinic and work at the same time. Hopefully, I will have paint and prep work done so the floors can go down the last week of October. Busy busy!
Nice to meet you! Thanks for the Welcome. Elise
