Hello, Lauriann
I'm glad to see you here on this network. As a Florida therapist I welcome you to join the Florida Massage Therapist group here on this network. Hope to see you there.
Hi Lauriann- I will be happy to take you up on that offer. If one therapist's career is lengthened, it will be worth it to me. I will get back to you when I start approaching folks for the attendee bags. Last year in Texas, we had 4 pounds of literature and one pound of samples and giveaways. This year will be tremendous! Thank you so much.
Hi Lauriann,
Thank you. But we will give it away. We do not do raffles. Everyone attending, instructors, vendors and attendees are given free door prize tickets. Almost everyone gets something. We attach a card to the prize, telling them who donated the prize and ask the recipient to contact that person and thank them for helping sponsor the WMF. Do you teach?
Thanks for your wonderful artwork, Ray, and welcome to the Save Your Hands! group. I hope you'll participate in our discussions on self-care. Feel free to start a topic!
Join me and Rick Goggins for our presentation on Effective Injury Prevention and Ergonomics for Massage Therapists at the World Massage Conference, Sun. Nov. 15th, 4:30-5:30 EST. Click here to register.
I would love to show you how MELT can help bodyworkers avoid injury. It's actually one of the flaws of most body workers... they give great work to others but can't work on themselves in an affective way.
MELT offers anyone the opportunity to sense inefficiency in the body's "autopilot" and bring it back to balance. It alleviates tension in the hands, wrists, not to mention neck and low back. The techniques are simple and it only takes 10 minutes a day. However, most people who MELT like to do it for longer periods of time because it feels so good.
Love to tell you more. Let's connect! I am on facebook, twitter, and have classes all over NYC and as far west as LA!
Thanks for all the info, I look forward to learning even more about the opportunity to get trained to be able to teach other therapists about the tools you have. I plan to order your book and CE course as soon as our tax return hits the bank!
Hi there Lauriann! You are more than welcome to post about your workshop on our page. If you have a link, I will include it on my meetup site as well, Central Valley Bodyworkers. :)
I just completed a private Deep Tissue training session and recommended your book, Save Your Hands, 2nd Edition, and Art Riggs' Deep Tissue DVD series. My student, who is a long-time practitioner, is more experienced is esthetics and Traditional Chinese Medicine than she is in Deep Tissue. The spa where she is working in the Woodlands near Houston is requiring her to offer Deep Tissue, in addition to her other modalities, so today in her training we talked about (and demonstrated) the Deep Tissue "tools of the trade." We coupled that with discussions about body mechanics and injury prevention. It was a lovely training. Your book was an inspiration! Many thanks. Would you like to exchange links on our websites? My URL is http://www.arianainstitute.com. I'd be honored to have you linked to my website. Ariana Vincent, Ariana Institute
