Hi Kris,  I am a massage therap;ist in Brevard NC.  I am in my 19 year of practice.  I do a combination of sweedish, trigger point, connective tissue massage, simular I think to myofascial release, and energy work( Reiki, accupressure, and my latest obsession is using what I learned from reading the book The Reconnection by Dr. Eric Pearl.  I haven't had the workshops yet, but I had the initiation from a friend who took the workshops.  In the book he said some people get it just from reading the book. I think I did!  My clients seem to really like what I'm doing now with it.   John

I guess it's the first time we've been Friends on this site, Kris, but I feel like we've been friends for a while on other massage sites. While you're in Las Vegas, I am in Palm Desert, CA, a mere 3-1/2 to 4 hrs drive between us.....

  • Pat Ward

    Hi Kris,

Nice to meet you. I am wondering if you make good money out there in Las Vegas? Do you have your own practice or work in a casino spa or resort? The reason I am asking is that I am considering relocating in the next few years (can't take these Chicago winters anymore) and Vegas is one place I was considering moving to or close to anyway. I would be moving in 2012 after my daughter graduates from high school. Just wondering how the climate is out there, I know it is dry and hot but I also mean the climate for massage therapists. Thanks for any feeback!

    Pat

  • Pat Ward

Well Kris, I don't have a husband and not planning on having one by the time I plan on moving so that idea is out. I am coming to Vegas in May 2011 and bringing two of my daughters so that will be fun anyway. Realy looking forward to going there, I love it there. Been several times already, I try to get out there every few years or so at least. Living there would be a dream come true for me!

    Hi Kris,

No problem, I just made an account on here, at the advice of my best friend, who is also an LMT. I have a small home business, and also work at a restaurant. I went to Vegas last summer for a wedding, its not my kinda place really but I like the Harley Davidson Cafe! And saw the Grand Canyon, that was cool. Must be a very needful thing, in that busy lifestyle out there, to get massage. Ok well have a good day!

    Hi Kris,

How is it out in Las Vegas? Beautiful country, though a little to warm in the summers for my taste. It's great to connect with you.

  • Brenda Lee Mento

    Good morning, Kris:

Thank you for welcoming me to the association!  We have family that live in Vegas.  Been there a few times to visit.  Was very surprised how beautiful it was.  Always thought it would be just an ugly desert.  We live in the mtns so thinking 'desert' with just visions of acres of dry flat sands.  Big surprise!  I have my own private practice.  Love it!

    Kris,

I'm not an LMT, but a coach and CE provider for LMTs.

It’s a pleasure to be your new Facebook friend.

As we establish this FB relationship, you might like to take advantage of three free services that I offer for LMTs.

The first is an LMT Business Coaching page, which helps therapists build their businesses.  If so, you can become a fan at http://www.facebook.com/BusinessCoachingForLMTs

The second is my free monthly e-newsletter.  If you’d like to receive it, pls. send me an email address and the city/state you live in.

The third is my blog. If you’d like to have my
blog entries emailed to you, there’s a place on the right column of the blog page of my website where you can enter your email address: http://carybayer.com/blog/

Would you like these resources in your life?

    All my best,
