Hey!! nice to meet you too!! im new to the field and love it so far!! Hows the business in Vegas?! Eventually I wanna work for myself but for now im just trying to find exactly what i like doing. What kind of work do you do?
No intrusion at all, thanks for the invite, I tend to be reclusive, but I share your love of massage! I'm a nurse massage therapist, got my massage license in 1995. Am looking forward to the WMF next year, looks like you won't have far to travel, LOL!
Hi Kris, I downloaded your ebook on how to use facebook for marketing. Thank you very much. It's been very helpful. Thanks for inviting me to network with you.
Nice to meet you ... I'm looking forward to networking with you. I recently attended an ABMP seminar in Cherry Hill, NJ and so I just recently signed up on this site. Thanks for inviting me to be a friend. I've been doing massage for 8+ years and Reiki energy work since 1999. I'm located in Lancaster, PA. Have a great day!
Great to connect with you. I also attended the Cherry Hill, NJ, ABMP seminar and joined this site. I have been in private practice, full-time, for 16 years in NJ and recently completed the national certification program as a Compassionate Touch Practitioner. In November I will become a national instructor for the Center for Compassionate Touch. This is a complimentary approach for eldercare, hospice, and palliative care. Enjoy your day!
Thanks for the invite. :) Am looking forward to reading how you and others have thrived in such a wonderful business, and I appreciate all the helpful info!
No intrusion whatsoever. I am actually a massage student right now. I started one week ago and I love it. I have wanted to do massage for as long as I can remember. I have a Master Cosmetologist license as well as an Associates in Marketing Management (Small Business Management). I wanted to learn how to manage a business and not just jump in head first. Now I am adding massage to my many other talents and gifts. I love meeting people. Thatnk you for ading me to your friends list. My husband and I are planning to move to Arizona one day but not sure when. Hope to hear from you soon.
Sure, let's network. You seem like a curious MT who also likes to write.
I've been an MT for 30 years, a massage teacher since the 80s, and have written alot about massage. Have you seen the column I co-write called
"talk about touch" (in Mass and Bodywork mag). Our last column (after a 4
year run) just came out in the latest issue. Next year Pearson is
publishing my second text, titled Therapeutic Kinesiology.

Hope all is well out there in Vegas. Been many years since I have been there. I prefer the beach anyway. I have been an MT for 19 years. My specialty is Reflexology. I am a teacher at the Cayce Reilly School of Massotherapy. www.edgarcayce.org. Check us out.
Thanks for contacting me. I work for Life Time Fitness and want to network with therapists in all areas, especially those who are looking for a great job opportunity. We have 90+ locations and offer massage in every one.
Hi Kris, Not an intrusion. I just discovered this site and became fascinated with a thread about how the Massage/Bodywork profession is perceived by the general public and other health professionals. It's a subject about which I have much to say. As one who has been doing this work for over 25 years but who just finally jumped through the hoops for the license I am experiencing a very rude awakening as to the realities of this field as a business and as a profession. I shall expand my thoughts as time goes on. I especially welcome the input of successful male MTs as I am discovering that obtaining bread and butter work in this field may not be in my cards. Spas and health clubs are not even responding to my resume, or if they do then it doesn't even progress to the practical part of working on someone to experience my skills. Thanks for connecting!
Most people are unconcious as to the abilities of an experienced massage therapist with over 25 years experience.. They have not a clue. Or they would hire you on the spot... Think about it... And they are in the industry? At some levels, the whole perception of massage is distorted in both the spa industry as much as in the medical industry.
Hi Kris, no intrusion, just found this site last nite, am still learning the ropes of social media sites. Still learning all this tech stuff too. Not my forte. A pleasure to read your comments, sounds like you've been doing this awhile. I look forward to chatting with you.
Hi Kris, great to meet you~thanks for the add!! I'm currently in Myrtle Beach, SC. but will be relocating to FL (Gulf Coast) in January. I'm new to this site and am still learning the ropes, love reading the comments, and meeting fellow therapists. Looking forward to further contact. Have a terrific weekend.
Kris, Thanks for the add... I'm happy you made the connection -- I look forward to networking with you in the near future -- If ever in the DMV (DC, MD, Virginia) area please look up our school -- Blessings and Peace
no intrusions... networking is a great thing and as a student I have a lot to learn... this is a helpful place; glad to have found it! thanks for the friend request. :-)
Thanks for the add. I'm returning to the field of Bodywork and looking at the various options available since I began practicing in "88". Trying to assemble everything I know and package it for myself and others. Looking forward to networking with ya
