Hi Kris, thanks for the friend invite! I'm in the process of getting licensed right now in WA but just moved from VA a few months ago. I finished massage school 2 weeks before our move here! Lots of new things going on for me! :)
Good to meet you. I just grauated few weeks ago. Looking to network. Actually Vegas is one place i've never been but would love to possibly move there seasonally to massage. Specialty is Sports massage.
No intrusion at all, nice to meet you. I'm only in my second quarter of school so I'm afraid I'm not going to have much input but great to network nonetheless.
Nice to meet you too, you are not intruding at all.
I live in Athens-Greece and I run a holistic therapies studio where I practice Shiatsu, TCM, Aromatherapy, and I've just been introduced to Lympho-drainage which I liked a lot!
Do you have any idea about reliable schools on Lympho therapy?...I'd like very much to keep studing it!
Not intruding at al!! I am originally from Seattle nd fell in love and moved to Norway. I feel like a massage pioneer here. Massage is still new so not so many therapist, so I was looking to find a network to conect to other therapist. Nice to meet you. Mechelle
i am addicted to hats and also to zero point energy tools...have you heard of them. i belong to a group called Amega Global and i want to make sure that everyone on the planet will be part of this group in time. please i hope i am not intruding but can you help me be the best business associate possible...i invite you to come into the world of Amega Global. www.myamegaworld.com/back2source
now that i got that off the plate, here goes...becoming a bodyworker came late to me...about age 32, i fell off the grand canyon and broke my back...head trauma as well. so in the ensuing years i realized that i needed to have language with myself. ultimately knowing that i had to know myself enough that i could manage my recovery from within.
that is really what i have come to know, now that i am 50, that i became a body expert from trial and error. small courses first, a 4 month trager/rolfing camp in costa rica in 1996 then a 2- 6month semesters of Zen shiatsu masanaga style with wild craft food macrobiotic training in whistler bc.
i was fortunate to stumble on shadow yoga amongst all my yoga training so i am starting to learn the language of shandar remete's teaching.
as for the range of motion and the extent that people know their own innards, good luck...in the 12 years of doing massage, i have found that most people are not educated in their own being so it is very hard to break the premise that massage is relaxing and luxury...i personally think that massage is educating the body to work...most people are not understanding that the body needs to be educated on how it functions in its own cosmic laws of being. the subconcious activity of keeping the body alive is not learned in books but by personal experience of how the internal systems work and as i grow as a book of knowledge, i am understanding that it is time to practice self more. i am getting to be a cranky old lady and i am so selfish in that i want to have all my time to myself...ahahahaha.
here is one that i am habituating into my core...
1. press your belly button into your adrenal and kidney region, under your ribcage, against your spine.
2. let it go and feel the belly moving towards the knee.
3. now bring it back...leave it there always.
4.feel how that attaches to your inside hip joint holding the hip, rotating the flesh towords
the mid line in the front of the body.
do that millions of times a day and one day, you will feel the connection of blood and flesh, from your big toes to the inside knee and up the adductors to your blood supply in your groin. into your belly and then onto your heart. bring your belly in...support your lower back from the front.
hi kris...give me a call and we can talk amega global together...i invite you, i welcome you to my healing world.
Hi Kris, Tina Holt is doing an article about my acoustic instrumental guitar music for massage therapy, and I decided to join her network :) I do not practice massage therapy outside my home, but my girlfriend and I work on each other often. It is nice to met you as well :) Mike Zampi
Kris, nice too meet you. I have a business here in St. Louis for the past 12 years that is part time. I also teach massage therapy and have done that for 10 years. What kind of massage do you do?
Hi Kris, thanks for the friending. How's the legislature working for you in Las Vegas? FL and TN are having issues with insurance defunding and deregulation, respectively. I've been in business for over 23 years here in FL and have never had such tough financial times.
Hi Kris, thanks for the add! Nice website and blog you've got there. We made a booking tool that's free for businesses to use to have their clients set appointments online. Since your website and blog give advice to massage therapists on running a successful business, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on how qooshi.com's software can be more helpful in that regard.
You are not intruding at all, thanks for the request. I would love to network with you bounce ideas back an forth. I visit Vegas once a year so the next time I'm in your area i will defiantly visit! Kemmie
Hello thanks for the friend request I'm a student trying to learn as much as I can from people like your self will be finished soon so any advice or warnings that I need to know please feel free looking to learn
Thanks for the invitation! I look forward to connecting with you and the others you have invited. I'm a Massage Therapist in Springfield, MO and am building a Friday practice.
Thanks for the invite. I look forward to connecting with you and other therapist. I'm from a tiny, falling apart town called Wilmington, OH. I do massage out of my home by myself. But I love it.
Thank you for the Invite. I just opened my own practice in a chiropractic office in October 2011. I LOVE it here! My practice is slowly growing. I look forward to connecting with you and learning from others around the world.
Hi, I am a MT in the UK. Just getting going again after a break of about 18 months. I offer a Transformational Massage which blends Massage, Reflexology and Chakra Balancing, specific to Personality Type. Very excited to be offering this new tratment and can't wait to get going with it! Thanks for the invite.
Not intruding at all! Thank you for the invite, I love to network! I actually just got back from las vegas, was there celebrating my graduation from my massage therapy program :O)
Hi Kris, thank you for responding! I feel sooo lost in las vegas as far as my career and being in touch with fellow LMTs. I work for a chiropractor right now, but I make a measly 15 dollars hr. If you have any suggestions on a position please let me know! And also where is the best place to find answers to questions regarding specficly where and what kind of rules or boundries for chair massage. Can we just take our chairs and just set up anywhere! Thx Andrea
Hi Kris, Yes, I would love to do outcall, I don't drive, but know the bus system well, and also have work as far as the Tuscany on Flamingo and got there just fine. Would have to start at 10 or 11 just to make sure I could get there, but don't forsee that as a problem. I have Clark co. but am willing to get the city, how much is it? Thank you so much Kris hope we can work together soon!!! Lyn Is that my new nickname? ha ha
first of all you rock Kris, this has been a little scary for me to think I'm putting all this money into my proffession and not really doing what I love! Before I get to far are you saying that I will be able to get where I need to go and will I need my table? I'd hate to think I couldn't get where I needed to go. If you say its cool I will definitly get the city lic! thx talk to you later Kris! Hope we can do business or come up with another alternitive.
Hi Kris, I wish they paid us more to, but its steady, they find the clients and It,s better for me considering I don,t drive, so it will have to work for now! Most casinos only have on call. Do you know how much massage heights pays. I also helped a fellow LMT open a spa, only to be used and told I would always be low on the poll because everyone had more experience than me. Sometimes money isn't everything. The chiro only pays 15 no tips hardly and only a day and half of work. So I will keep both! Keep me posted If some thing comes along. In the meantime I,ll keep truckin' thx AW
No you are not intruding. I am really a retired New York City Educator and a licensed Aesthetician with my own skin care line, Everlasting Beauty Skin Care. I spoke to someone at Association of Skin Care Professionals and they said I should lbecause a member. My reason was to advertise that I was picked to run for Women of the Year by the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, a fundraising contest. I was looking for financial support and sponsorship. After reading the rules, I decided not to post anything of the sort. Still nice to meet you.
Hey Kris, nice to meet you! I think it's a great idea to connect with MT's around the world! I used to live in California and made many weekend trips to Las Vegas... it must be so fun to live there! :-) I'm back in NJ, have been back for years now, and love being a massage therapist. I focus on working with women with issues such as anxiety, depression, MS, Fibromyalgia and I enjoy working with prematal/pregnancy/postpregnancy... In the future I would like to become much more specialized but I'm still working out that plan! Hope all is well and nice to meet you!
i have just finished my Indian head massage course; I am waiting for my Diploma certificate for confirmation of completion so i can get my insurance and start practicing
