Hi Pamela. I so appreciated your response to the pet peeve discussion. I have recently relocated to Denver, CO and have experienced the trend of expecting massage therapists to be available for a 40 hour week, do 6 or more massages back to back, sit and wait if there are no booked sessions (of which is not paid time), and only be compensated $15 per session, no paid time off, sick days or vacation pay. I need to work, having just moved here and have no established clients yet. But I am seriously thinking about working outside of the massage field for financial necessity until I can build up my independent massage practice. I love my work but feel as though I am being taken advantage of. Sorry for the vent. Thought you would understand.
