You know, it is such a difficult business climate right now. Between the recession and the Swine Flu - a lot of places find themselves strapped for cash and dealing with employee absences.

Doing chair massage on my own has frankly been a mixed experience. When you are on your own, and you approach the "front gate" of a business - you are often faced with some sort of "gatekeeper". It can be like pulling teeth to get anyone to listen to you. Occasionally, I have had friends who worked at the company, and this helped.

This picture of me is taken from doing an onsite job as an independent contractor for a company called Infinite Massage, located in Texas. The most success I have had has been working with other companies. The pay is lower than doing it on my own, but after spending thousands of dollars on advertising, marketing and creating my own brochures - I love having someone else to do all the work. With Infinite - I just have to show up. IM tells me where I am going, how many massages are planned and the pay for that job.

Bottom line, start with businesses you patronize. A good place to start are places you visit regularly - where they know you. You might try inquiring about whether the employees would enjoy massage - you never know - something might come of it.
So, I wish I had better advice for you - but, after trying to get businesses on my own with limited success - I am much happier having a company own the website and do all the footwork.
