I've not had any difficulty as a male massage therapist, but that could be because I deal more with pain management.

As to advice, I'd suggest you find niche' target markets in what you love and go after that. Don't try and be everything to everyone. Sure, you can go after different demographics and different target markets, just make sure you give each target market the attention they deserve.
