Welcome Olga, may the magic of the heavens always touch your heart and hands! For me, it is always best to get a referral from a Physician or PA if only to cover my back and consider my scope of practice. As a LDT practitioner I would highly recomend that you take courses in it (Dr. Bruno Chicly's course is excellent.) Many Blessings Lore
Thanks for joining the Save Your Hands group, Olga. Please feel free to post an introduction to our group, with any questions or comments you have on injury prevention or self-care.
Thanks for your comment, Olga. Yoga is a great way to stay in shape for doing massage. You may want to add some specific strengthening exercises as well. Remember that the most effective approach to self-care and injury prevention is holistic and multifaceted, so to stay healthy, you also need to be aware of risk factors for injury in your work and home life, use proper body mechanics, pay attention to ergonomics (work station set-up, scheduling, etc.) and a number of other factors. Keep up with the Save Your Hands group and take a look at the www.saveyourhands.com web site for more information.
