HI Jane, I am very new to this site so I feel strange welcoming you. It is a great site and I have received wonderful support and interest. I am a craniosacral therapist and artist living and working in Cape Town South Africa. I have spent some time visually translating elements and treatment protocols of CST with the question :' Is Therapy Art?

Hi Jane, Thanks for your quick reply and interest. What is it that makes one session more successful than another? There are many unquantifiable elements in theapy and art. CranioSacral Therapy like art has to be experienced. To quote CST therapist Candice Marro:

“A mystery is waiting for you; something is waiting to engage with you,
something that you can’t imagine, you can’t create, that you can only discover.”

    Best wishes

Love what your doing. Know your the best but you can always improve. If you haven't learned something knew on the unspoken level, you haven't done your best. Be in prayerful mediation for your client. Love your client. Love will transmit your therapy into art. CST is rhythm. Rhythm is music. Music is harmony. Harmony is art. Same with massage done right. You create it together with your client. Neither alone is responsible for sum total of what you will discover or receive together. Be present. Create.
