    Hi Teresa!

Yes, the weather out west is nice  ;)  Keep in mind our summers though...very hot, similiar to your very cold winters.  My girlfriend is from Ohio so I'm quite familiar with them  ;)

As to myofascial release and trigger point therapy.  Hmm.  In my humble opinion, I use myofascial techniques to work on an area and this may lead to a trigger point or not.  So, If I were you I'd learn about myofascial release first.  With that said, I'm not an expert in either one!  Honestly, I don't really think it matters which you choose to study first...the most important thing for you to do is actually TAKE the courses, whichever you choose first.  ACTION!  :)

If you are really looking for an answer on this question I suggest you look up a couple of experts on each one of these and ask them.  To do this you can click on the 'Groups' heading on the top of this page and then perform a search for myofascial release and trigger point therapy.  If that doesn't work, search for 'massage continuing education' and most of these folks are massage CE providers and you can contact them that way.

    Have a great day!

I hope I can help. Iowned my establishment right out of school. My challenges were probably different than those you will face.

That said, during the lull in getting the license I did free chair and massage all over to get more practice in and build a base clientel.

I think a lot of therapists just don't know how to sell themselves. This should be taught in schools. I am workinh on several ways to approach this also through MTAA.

Holler any time, I'll be here!
