Thanks for joining Alfred! Taking matters into our own hands as MTs in not very popular. I've worked with and known a few hundred MTs over the years. Very few of them took care of themselves. Most were always in pain and getting "band-aid" work when they couldn't stand it any more. I understand this common nature in most of us. I'm sure I wouldn't have done what I did if it weren't for the serious issues I had to deal with. There is a psychological issue here..many MTs use there profession to cover up feelings of low self-esteem/ self-perception. If they didn't, they would be an example of there work. When they're not this example, they are a reflection of what is being "hidden". While it's obvious that a percentage of MTs also practice yoga, there is a degree of separation between the two fields. They are seldom combined in articles of magazines that are predominately about their particular field. Those who practice yoga mainly, are taking matters into there hands more than those who only receive massage, though a large percentage of them don't get massage! My methods weave the two together a bit closer. Those who attack what I am doing probably don't like the idea of needing to take that much responsibility and seeing my work reminds them of this. For those who are serious about extremely efficient and effective change...I have an answer.
