Hi Michael

I hope all is well.

For the most part and from experience, a class that is approved by NCBTMB will most likely be approved by the state. I did my homework and found this out directly from NCBTMB.

I hope this helps. :-)

Are you interested in the class?

Hey Kim,

Is your CE approved by the Louisiana Massage Board?  If not, then you probably need to state so in your notice - it's part of our law here in LA that you have to state specifically that your CE is approved or not approved.  Being approved by NCBTMB means nothing as far as our state license renewal goes and there have been lots of angry therapists and lawsuits against those who sold CEs without following the requirement.  You can check out the Rules and Regs at www.LABMT.org   or contact our board for help getting your CE approved.  Good luck!

How long does it usually take to receive your MT license after taking the oral exam and applying for the professional license?

i was on another website and someone mentioned that in their state it is a law that gift certificates last only 2 yrs. Do we have a similar law here in louisiana where GCs have to expire withing a certain time frame

Hey Molly. Ken is correct it is about 20 to 25 questions on the Louisiana Law. Email me at mbreaux@hotmail.com and I will send you a copy of our school's study guide for the Oral Exam.

No, its not hard. I believe it was 20 05 25 questions, I can't remeber, geez has it been 5 1/2 yrs? wow. They are asking about the Massage laws of Louisiana. Did you attend the "Louisiana Institute of massage therapy" ? if so, you should have gotten a copy of the laws. Spend a week looking over the laws, and you will be ok. Trust me, that was an easy exam.

Hey, I'm curious about the LA MT oral exam. Is it tough? What would I need to study? Details will greatly help.
