I've done gift baskets at expos and during the holidays. Typically with a gift certificate for a 90 minute session, some bath salts, herbal hot/cold pack and a tube of Biofreeze.

At the expos I've found it's a great way to build your (e)mail list of people interested in massage.  When I notify the winner, I send a coupon to everyone who didn't win as an incentive to come visit me within a specified period of time.

During the holidays I give every person who sees me between Thanksgiving and December 21st one entry into a drawing for every massage they receive or gift certificate they purchase.  I've found this encourages people to purchase an extra "just in case" gift certificate to have on hand around the holidays...which eventually brings me new clients.

I'm intrigued by the idea of selling raffle tickets, if you try it let us know how it works out.

Susan

I have gift baskets also.  Come with a 60 minute or 90 minute gift certificate and any combination of bath salts, body lotion, homemade soaps, lip balms, votive candle, biofreeze, etc.  Just depends what the client wants.  I customize them as they are ordered but also keep one on hand just in case I get a last minute request.  I always take a basket with me whenever I do chair massages at events.  Clients that sign up on my mailing list are entered to win the basket.  It's always a big hit!

Hey Frank!

As I was posting in the main board here for Marketing and Practice Building, I saw this thread.

I create 'new client kits.'  To explain what these are, please view this video I made, here:

Las Vegas Massage Therapist Kris Kelley - New Client Kits

I'll admit the video needs a lot of work, as it's a practice run  ;)  (As you see I'm not using a tripod, so no-one will be calling me Cool Hand Luke anytime soon!)

I'm sure you'll get the idea of what I'm describing though  ;)

Kris

I am giving a gift basket and free massages for my grand opening. I have recieved about 10 bookings in 2 weeks lots of leads and haven't awarded the gifts yet, (ends this Wednesday) my community is starting to know me and like me. I am very excited.

I also gave everyone a free gift for stopping by (sample of my bath salts and a sample of the muscle cream I use)
