Just wondering... What percentage of the time, during your massage work, are you using your elbows?
I think I am using mine about 35% of the time on average...Just a curious question..

I would say 50 to 75% depending on the type of massage. The only time I don't use forearms is when doing lymphatic massage or CST. On the mat mostly feet and shins.
I'd say at 50-60% with massage (elbows and forearms), not at all with CST. With MFR it's hard to say, but probably 45-50% at least. I should use them more!
Jimswife - My thumbs and hands remind me to use my forearms! :)
It will help save your hands for sure...Hands are my primary tool.. But the elbow saves them.

I have only been working a few months. But I have to remind myself to use my elbows and forearms during massage.
I need to use my elbows more, I think.

They can be an excellent tool! And you can actually rotate your forearm while using it on people to use different parts of your bone - accomplishes different things. You can get deep without using force - good stuff!
