What do you usually wear for work?  I work in a chiropractors office but I am not required to wear a "uniform".  Right now I dress casual and comfortable.  I need to pick up a few more things so I am not wearing the same over and over.   I am having a hard time finding items that are comfortable but don't look like I am going to go work out.  I don't have a lot of money to spend right now.  The other challenge I have is shoes!!  I currently wear regular athletic shoes.  But I don't like the way they look. Plus my feet hurt by the end of the day.   Anyone wear nursing shoes or something along those lines?  I think they may be more comfortable to wear all day long.  But also look nice/professional as well.

When I worked in a chiropractic office and other clinics I wore a scrub suit.. I had several of them..  Work clothes was no problem then... Like the therapist in this clip.. I think its a good look and comfortable...As far as shoes.. ECCO makes an expensive yet very comfortable long lasting shoe...I wear them only at work inside..I have my outside shoes when going to lunch or going home.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FuHQBx9gL34&feature=related     Hope that gives you some ideas.

I think Gordon is right - scrubs are a good option for you.  And if there's a uniform shop in your area, you can find scrubs in some fun and interesting colors and prints so you don't feel like you are wearing hospital gear.

I have some Merrel's that I absolutely love.  I work barefoot but for situations requiring shoes they are great.  They are pricey at $100/pair or so but they are designed for women's feet and hip/femur shape so they are super comfortable.  These aren't the shoes I have but they are similar and lots less expensive:
