massage and bodywork professionals

a community of practitioners

Greetings folks.

I am writing with a question. I would like to know who are regarded as the experts in the field of energetics, energy medicine, subtle energy practices, and related methods, especially as they relate to massage therapy. I am especially interested to know if there are people who have conducted or published scholarly work on this subject, but that is not a strict requirement for the answer to my question.

I am also interested to know if there are any experts on this topic who are likely to attend the upcoming massage therapy research conference to be held in Seattle this May.

I know of a couple of people who are considered to have expertise in this area. I know that Dr. James Oschman has published articles and books on these topics, but I recently learned that he will probably not be attending the upcoming conference. I also know of Dr. Leslie Korn, who gave a workshop on this topic at the last conference in Albuquerque, but she will also not be in attendance at the upcoming conference.

Hi Emma.

I'm not exactly doing research - in fact, I realize maybe I should be more specific. I am interested in organizing a scientific debate, or possibly a panel discussion, about the role of energy medicine / energetics in massage therapy. This idea came to me fairly recently, and the conference proposals are due very soon. With this in mind, I am trying to determine if there are any proponents of energetics and massage therapy who are likely to attend the Seattle conference in May, and if they might be interested in participating in such an activity.
