I wonder which ligament you are referring to.
By the way, we are located at www.massagegrapespa.com in San Diego. Plan to come over to work?
I’m talking ligaments in general, as opposed to muscle and tendon pain, which I have no problem dealing with. I’m speaking as a therapist that works with patients that are in pain.
depends which ligament. With SRT, we treat ligaments - very light pressure before any release - some locations (such as the ones connecting spinous processes) is almost feather-weight..
I don’t see how a ligament can “be released”? It’s very fibrous and non contractile. If there is ligament damage, that implies a tear.
Here is what I found. And it fits into another one of my complaints about Alaska going licensed. This sounds like a very effective course of manual therapy that deals with ligament pain. But , of course, like a lot of cutting edge effective bodywork out there, no continuing education credits for USA massage therapists. I’m forced to take some class that I’m not interested in, won’t help my patients, that everyone else takes, just to maintain my license. Prior to this licensing I was free to study what I wanted. I still can. But it’s much more expensive now. Locked in the ceu box. Anyway , I will eventually take this course. http://www.lastsite.ca/
