Did you know that raw honey should NEVER be given to an infant?I hear it can be very dangerous.
I found this explanation and warning: All new mothers, please take note of this honey information. Pasteurisation cannot remove spores as they are very resistant to killing by physical and chemical agents. To kill spores which are harmful to babies, processors must heat the honey to at least 250 degrees Fahrenheit, under pressure for at least three minutes, but this cannot be done as honey burns under this high temperature, its flavor changes and some health beneficial honey properties are also destroyed. This explains why for so many honey FAQs concerning whether it is okay to feed infant honey, the answer is also a "NO".
I have purchased two different bottles of Honey. One is Clover Honey and the other is Natural Raw Honey. Both have a warning label on it that says "DO NOT GIVE TO CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF ONE YEAR"
I sent a note to Benefits and Ruth Tan wrote me back with the following response. Hope it helps get the word out. 18 months is the key difference, I see.

Hi Mike

Yes, it's true. Infants below 18 months should not be given honey due to the concern related to infant botulism.

Lost another 1/2 pound yesterday. Slept almost 6 hours last night. So that is good.
Be safe Lisa. No alcohol here. To me it is not worth it. I have seen alcohol wreck too many lives.
