massage and bodywork professionals

a community of practitioners

ok...this is our safe haven where our clients don't know right? so tell the truth. how many of you actually practice what you preach. or am i the ONLY one that doesn't quite measure up to doing what i know i need to do to be feeling better?

currently...i know i should be exercising WAY more. i should definitely be eating a lot better. oh and those regular massages went away after i graduated.

but the plus side...this site brings me into a network where i can have my friends push me and motivate me. so here's to another day of trying to get it right. :)

I'm a fitness and healthy eating nut. Always telling my clients what to do lol. Write them plans and everything. So I do practice what I preach except...

I very rarely get any bodywork done, mainly because I don't know any other practitioners that I trust (at least near to me). Apart from a bit of work on seminars and CE courses I havent received proper massage for about 3 years
Lisa I recently joined a Curves Gym for my Birthday and love it. I felt so much better after the first session. I have a very long way to go, but have taken a big step in the right direction.

Travis I would love to come off B/P meds. Maybe in my future I can.
Today is the first day...I totally fell off the wagon this winter, little exercise, horrible diet, and truth be told I haven't had a decent massage in about a year. But I do get twice weekly Chiro adjustments and this morning I started back on my exercise routine. Time to get back in shape!
I'm still working out....as the winter starts melting away and the temps and the sun rise, my routines are more looked forward to. The last snowshoe run is prob next week and then it's hiking time. My wife and I have changed our diet considerably. We have green drinks for breakfast....more veggies and fruits. I'm cooking with the wok and steamer more. Lisa, you will like this. Make or get your fave salsa. Use it as a dipping sauce for carrots, snowpeas, broccolli, etc. I like a hot salsa best....beats ranch dressing. Luciana, my salsa is my addiction. I don't eat sweets anymore....not a conscious decision, my sweet tooth just disappeared. Weird.
Would you be interested in posting the recipe to your addiction? I am a green chili and jalapeno addict, I eat one or both with everything. I have found that if I cut back on the hot stuff the sweet tooth comes roaring back. Green chili and jalapenos are excellent antioxidents.
Donna, the recipe is in my head. I need to write it down (for if and when I'm gone haha). I don't share it as I am trying to find a way to market it. So,sorry, even for a Texan....I'd sell you some, but I can't divulge the recipe. But, I'm with you as far as having the addiction. If I cut back, tho, I don't go to sweets. Plus, I don't cut back. Mrs Renfro's has some good products, esp their green salsa. And they're a Texas company.
