massage and bodywork professionals
a community of practitioners
Im a recent graduate of the Florida School of Massage.... A recent passer of the MBLEx...... and a totally confused student member of the AMTA, ABMP and FSMTA...
I joined the FSMTA due to their local support. I'm pleased thus far.
I joined the AMTA because of their vast mega-ness.... I am not pleased with their "aggregate" insurance (nor their phone representatives.
I joined the ABMP due to their -what seems to me to be - quality insurance.... I'm not THAT worried about being sued..... but it's a concern.
So, for those of you in Florida, do you like the FSMTA?
For those of you nationally, which do you prefer out of the AMTA and the ABMP and why?

Hi Jason,
Give us a call, send an email, or reply here if you have any questions about ABMP membership—we know sometimes it can get overwhelming to sort through and understand everything that's out there.
My number is 800-458-2267 ext. 621, but anybody here would be happy to talk.
Congratulations on graduating and passing the test!
Jed

I love ABMP!! They have a lot of resources for a massage therapist and I was up and running my own business in a day with website, business cards, brochures and never have to worry about ceu's b/c they give me plenty of opportunities online!
Awesome! Glad to have you join ABMP!

ABMP - All the Way...Why ? I also practice Reiki and Reflexology , it is my understanding that ABMP is much more OPEN to all healing modalities . Also pleasant to chat with via phone / online /or email.
No problems whatsoever.
Good Luck !
Lucy
