Any MTs had spinal disc fusion surgery?

I just wonder if any MT has had experience with this themselves or if it meant that it they couldn't work as many hours etc.  OR if it was a total success.  I'd like to know about your experience of it, if that's the case.

I'm facing the possibility of it, but I'm getting a second opinion.  I just wondered if other MTs had gone through it.
