Anyone thinking of submitting a case report to the MTF for next years contest?

I'm sure most of you are aware of the annual Massage Therapy Foundation case report contest.

I only became aware of the contest myself a few months ago and it interested me, not because of the competition aspect of it, but because of the learning aspect of it and....well.....it's cool.

I'd like to hear from people that have submitted case reports. Please tell us about your experiences. What challenges did you have?

Also, is there anyone else thinking of doing a case report?

I have one case report done (the hands on part, not the written part), and will be doing another next semester. I am considering submitting one or both to the contest, but depends on the rules pertaining to publishing because I would also like to publish one or both in a journal..so we'll see :)
Kim,
Very cool.
Did you have any problems coming up with a case that was just cool and interesting?
The first one more or less "fell into my lap". It was not something that I specifically sought out, but it ended up working out quite well. The next one is on something I am specifically interested in. Sorry for the vagueness here, since the case report submissions (or rather choosing the winner) is blind, I don't want to identify my studies in case anyone on the committee reads this. If you'd like to know more, feel free to send me a message or email :)
Hey Kim,
No, I wouldn't expect you to tell me what they were on!
I've had some interesting cases in the past, but this would mean doing a lot more than SOAP notes.
I have a couple of physical therapists that sometimes refer their people to me - I'm thinking of maybe calling them and seeing if they've got some interesting cases that might be good candidates.
It was interesting seeing what the cases where on from past contests. My husband tore his ACL in both knees (on separate occasions) playing ice hockey in the past, so the ACL one caught my eye. When he went out to play last night I wanted to ask him to do himself an injury - an interesting one - so that I could do a little investigation!
