Attention Approved Providers! WHO Should Approve You?

As many of you know from reading my blogs, things have been in a state of turmoil at the NCBTMB for a number of years. In spite of the fact that I and many others have held out the hope that they are getting it together--and I will admit service has improved there recently--I am still concerned about the viability of the organization.

I'd like to take a poll. IF the NCB was to go out of business, OR if another entity was to give them a run for their money by taking on a competing roll of approving providers of continuing education, who do you think that should be? The individual states? The Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards? The Alliance for Massage Therapy Education? COMTA? AMTA? ABMP?

Should people just be able to get out there and teach without any approval from anyone at all? What's your opinion?

Someone needs to govern that people are qualified and ethical.

I would vote for the Federation of Massage! They 'seem' to be organized and working on issues that many of us hoped NCB would've have addressed over the years.
