massage and bodywork professionals

a community of practitioners

Blessing to everyone!

I am new to this forum and quite new to this kind of blogs too!

I am from Southern Spain, and I wonder if any of you could recommend serious and professional webs where I can obtain crystals for my work.

Would love advice on crystals in massage therapy and also love to learn from other professinals about reflexology, energy and haling work as I don't know any other professionals to discuss all this and always feel it is so much more enriching to learn from others that also do this, everyone has something to teach and we all have always so much to learn!

Many thanks and light to all, Deborah

Hi Pia,

I think we are saying the same thing but in different words....Also everyone's perception of the word healer is so different. I am a person who never thinks I am better than anyone in this field or any field and always smile to anyone who I think needs a little lift.... That is why I am a healer and everyone is in their own right. It does not make me more special or righteous...It just makes me happy that I use it to my best ability and that healing someones heart or core with a smile or a touch is incredibly a beautiful thing to be able to do.... It does not have to be labeled or called a healer but whatever you call it, it is still a gift as is painting or being able to build a house or a writer....or being a caretaker....Life is to short not to to try to be happy everyday and be able to be passionate about what you do....So many people do not and I think it is a shame and sad. I just choose to be passionate about it.

Thanks,kathie

Hi Kathie,

We all have gifts. Every single person in the world has something unique to give and do. That we serve to facilitate and support healing is no more special than an artist making beautiful paintings, or a carpenter creating a useful table.

I strongly believe that it is very important that we remember to remain humble and not think we are anything special compared to other people who walks different paths in life.

We all have the potential to facilitate healing, but for some it is simply not their calling, or their path in this life. Their lessons might lie elsewhere. Or it might be that they facilitate healing in subtle ways which could simply be that they smile at the stressed desk-clerk when they need it the most.

Always should we aim to Walk our Heart Song and do what is true to us. To be grateful for every single day we live and grateful for the ability to serve and make a difference in the world. But never should this become a burden which weighs us down. After all, we are meant to be happy and live in happiness, and if we are not happy and feel a burden from doing what we do, then we are doing it either wrongly, or shouldn't  be doing it at all.

I will never label myself Healer. For in my opinion I am no more a Healer than a Pencil is an Artist. The pencil might be the one drawing the lines on the paper and apparently creating the drawing. But it is not the pencil who controls or decides what is happening.

Cheers,
Pia

Hi Pia,

Thanks for the response. I did not sleep good last night either. I see what your saying and I hear you...I just believe we need to believe that we have a gift that we have been given and we need to own up to it and do our best with it....

It is an ongoing uphill climb to always be aliened and able to be a facilitator but bottom line this is our job and if we believe and see then our clients will benefit in my opinion....Negativity is passed through and that is only human but I feel we are born natural healers to be used for the benefit of others as well as ourselves.... We are the most important tool in what we do and need to keep that healthy and strong...We also are are own healers...either way we are healers....

Thanks for reading my opinions and giving me yours. It is so awesome to share with others.

My interests are culture....theater....dance and music...art and food.... Thanks for your thoughts...

Thanks, Kathie

Dear Pia,

I have always felt exacly as you say about the hollow bone. I see myself as a tool really, as the "in between" to pass on the Universal energy through me. Thats all. But I respect the way others see each other. Some say they need to see themselves as gifted. I alway feel that humbleness is the true heart of a balanced self and world. I mean true humblness. We are all just as gifted, if we are taught and if we take the time and effort to work out what we have learnt. And if we want to, of course.

Everything around us is alive, why not tune-in and accept?

I find your words very in tune with my feelings, and that is so nice, as it is not always easy to access people with the same frame of mind.

By the way, I am working a lot lately, and hope that things pipe up in the next few months... so I can do a LaStone course which is one of the ones I have most liked, from all the info I have dug up. So thanks again for that.

Daniel asked me if I feel anything on hoding the stones: yes I do. They seem to "call" at me in different ways. Some days is one, or other, some for one thing, some for another. I see them as "friends". But then, I talk to my house too, as I feel it has a mind of its own and that it reacts to my own feelings, its quite fascinating.

Kathie, Spain is a rich and wonderful country. Like with everything else, don't fall for the topics if you want to see the real Spain. Go to the North, where my family is from, (the Vasque country) its absolutely amazing, but so is Asturias & Galicia. Green. beautiful beaches & mountains, & the food is to die for if you are gastronomically attracted. Extremadura is excellent. If you are coming for a short stay, see Cordoba better than Sevilla, as to enjoy Sevilla you must be there at least 4 days. Cordoba you are ok with 2. And if you love horses, go to Jerez de la Frontera. In August they have horse racing on the beach. In Andalucia the "ferias" start from April (In Sevilla) and week to week in each town & city until October. Barcelona is a great cultural city, as is Valencia now (but go and eat paella in the inland towns better than on the beach). I hope this helps. When you know where you are going let me know to be more of help!

I wish you all love & light & hope that you all sleep better! Deborah
