Does Massage Before/After a workout Improve muscle growth/reparation

Ive recently started working out again, but one day during class it just kind of randomly popped in my head , that extra blood flow is beneficial for working out. ( I take whats called NO2[ Nitrous Oxide Booster] that increases blood flow.) Would massage have the same effect as the NO2 or too much if i stacked them on top of eachother? Would a Massage AFTER a workout, assist in Reparation to a noticeable extent?
