Vera - I see quite a few elderly clients. I explain about getting on/off the table safely and ask if I can be of any assistance. Whether the answer is yes or no, I tell them to take their time and go slowly. I have a newer client in the early stages of Alzheimer's and explain carefully how I want him to get on/off and turn on the table each time. He gets off of the table to turn over and forgets to lie back down - I gently remind him. As to manners - we all agree - good manners are good manners. I treat people the way I want to be treated professionally and courteously.
