Hi Mike. My dear friends Joseph and Jacqueline Freeman teach Equine Structural Integration. They have their classes on their biodynamic farm in southern Washington, about a 1/2 hour from Portland,Oregon. They have a unique training and I highly recommend them. Their site is www.equinenaturalmovement.com. Contact Jacqueline Freeman at (360) 687-8384.
Thanks Linda I just sent Rachel a message about them. Hear you would like to do Hellerwork at Festival? Send me your email address and I'll get you the info.
Hi all!! I am actually planning on doing equine massage as part of my practice in the next 5 years. I live in upstate NY though and in NY state you have to be a Vet or a Vet technician to work on animals. I was thinking about taking a class through http://www.equissage.com/. Does anyone know anything about them or have any experience with them?? Thankx!!
thanks, Linda, for the kind words. Yes, we teach classes in Equine Structural Integration. Our next class starts Sept. 30th and goes for a week. Students stay here at our farm, too, which makes travel easier and it's a really friendly environment.
Our field is heart centered equine bodywork. We give a basic certification at 300 hours and an advanced certification at 500 hours. Our graduates have done some pretty wonderful things with their practices. We're also starting a teach training this year for our grads who want to spread the work further.
The work is pretty interesting. Strong results, often fairly permanent, too, as is a lot of Structural Integration. I can send you our student info packet if you want.
