Everybody farts. We want to hear about it!

In an upcoming issue of Massage & Bodywork magazine I'll be tackling some of the more embarrassing issues you face as a massage therapist or massage therapy client. Tell me your most embarrassing story (please keep it PG-13)--whether it's about farting, draping disasters, falling off your stool, or anything else--and we might feature it in an upcoming story for the magazine!

I don't have any of those; my best story related to this general topic happened not too long ago. I regularly work with a colleague who does Reflexology and we scheduled a session with my Vietnam Veteran. I've known him for years; we were friends long before I went to massage school. My colleague had never met him though. He came to the session knowing he'd leave his shorts on; however, the shorts he chose had a very interesting zipper. It was bent into a arc, creating a tent-like effect. It was somewhat disturbing! I pointed this out and asked him if he could rearrange his shorts. We all got a big laugh out of it but it was hard to shake the "my colleague just met this guy and this is what happens?!?" feeling!
