True story folks. Yesterday I was called to do my civic duty and was sent home because I had a major sneezing attack! A man in my group had on a lot of some nasty cologne and my system went crazy. By the time I got home my face was swollen and I felt like I had been run over by a truck. This morning I have a nagging head ache.
I have rarely been scent sensitive, but yesterday was an eye opener for me as to what some people live with daily. Do any of you have clients that are sensitive and take extra measures to keep your room scent free? I have a special blend of oils that I use in my room and as far as I know it has not bothered any one, but after yesterday I wonder if I need to descent my room. I use FX unscented creme, so I do not have to worry about lubricant. I do not want to put anyone through that type of reaction!
Donna, hope you're feeling better by now! Guess some people don't understand the "less is more" concept. Your description makes me want to put a moist cloth over my eyes.
The chiropractor whose room I use for massage is sensitive to lots of things...lavender especially...so I don't use any scent in the room or in my lubricant. Sometimes, I do put a drop of peppermint essential oil (or another blend called "Joy") on a pad beneath the face cradle for specific clients who are congested & like that sort of thing, and they're the only ones who can smell it.
