Anyone have any suggestions for a new face cradle made of memory foam? Are they really effective for sinus pressure issues?

Do they leave facial impressions?

Are they long lasting?

Any complaints or other issues you've noticed? Are they any better than other face cradles?

Maybe you've got another face cradle you feel is very comfortable that's not memory foam; please share.

Thanks for your input.

I got one (I think mine is the Kur one) . I thought it was going to be the answer for cradle face.
It was better than the one I had before, but it still leaves a mark sometimes - it also depends on the cover I'm using on it.
I think it's more comfortable than the one I had before and I wouldn't say it was a bad investment, it's just that I had higher expectations of it (you know, when the box arrives from massage warehouse, and you're all excited and jumping up and down and you just can't wait to use it...and then....).

Drawbacks? There's no wipeable cover on mine. There's a washable fleecey cover thing that zips up and then I put another cover on top of that, so it's less hygienic than the wipeable ones.
Overall, it's good, but I was expecting it to be better.
Some women REALLY don't like cradle face.

There's another hoogimajob that looks interesting that I've wondered about too....expensive though.
Thanks Vlad, I'll check it out.

Thanks Terry and Rick; great info!
the square ones are suffocating. the foam is comforting but the design is flawed
Good to know; thanks Henry and Kari.
I've wondered about the memory foam type myself, so I'm looking forward to hearing what others say here.

About the sinus pressure issue, however, I use a "gel pak" overlay on top of my conventional face cradle, underneath the flannel cover. I keep it in the fridge between clients (or a few minutes in the freezer if necessary to speed up the cooling process) and my clients really love it. Most will ask for it if it isn't on there for some reason, because it really helps those who get stuffed-up while prone. I bought mine in school and if anybody is interested, I'll share the website that has them once I locate it again. Seems other companies make the gel paks in every imaginable shape except that one, but I know they're out there....
I'm interested Marilyn; if you'd post the website that would be great.

I use the boiance face rest it is at www.boiance.com and it works real well, not perfect but a lot better then standard face rests. Uses balls filled with water to help cushion the face.

Robin, sorry I haven't located that website for the gelpak yet, and just wanted to let you know I didn't forget about it. Happily, I've been too busy working to spend much time on the computer lately! ~marilyn
Good for you! I appreciate your keeping the website in mind; thanks Marilyn.

Thank you too Jason, for the link and the recommendation.

Well it took longer than I thought, but here it is:

There is also a "gel pak package" that comes with special flannel covers that have a pocket for the gelpak, but I make my own and affix the gelpak to my cushion with rubber bands. My covers are flannel with a two-ply top surface; the gelpak tends to leave a mark on some people (like a seam would) so the second layer is nice. Note: By trial & error I found that the cooling properties of the gelpak cannot be felt if a polar fleece cover is used insead of flannel.

Like I said, my clients love the way this feels on the face so much that they request it, and it does give some relief to those who tend to get snuffy.
Good to know, thanks Terry.

Hi Robin-
So I took a chance and threw that Kur face cradle (with the cover on) into the washer: gentle cycle with warm water and a little detergent and bleach. Then into the dryer on low. Surprise - it washed beautifully and dried throughly. .
