I am currently working with two clients with frozen shoulder syndrome.  In addition to massage/bodywork one client is seeing a physical therapist and the other a chiropractor.  I'm trying various modalities (Ortho-Bionomy, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point, Muscle Energy) and I am wondering what others have tried and what results you have gotten.  I have read that a frozen shoulder will release on it's own after a year?  One client has had an MRI (no tears) and the other has not.  Neither chooses surgical intervention.  Suggestions?  Comments?

Korean Martial Therapy and Acupressure has always been my choices for frozen shoulder. Deep tissue work of the full shoulder. Be sure to work the medial border of the scapula and subscapularis in addition to the rotator cuff.
Sensible approach in my view . . although seemingly unrelated, an oblique pelvis will also create problems via lat dorssi, with potential TP's anterior to the cuff. The role of the brachial plexus through C7 is also often relevant. Some frozen shoulders resolve within 18 mths . . I have seen some that clearly didn't. Good luck with this one, I think you're on the right track. Cheers P
